First, there was 28 Days Later, and then there was 28 Weeks Later, and if rumors are to be believed, hopefully, sooner than later, we’ll get a third film in the series, 28 Years Later.
Reportedly, Danny Boyle and Alex Garland are teaming up for the third film, and Cillian Murphy, who starred in the first film, has expressed interest in appearing in the sequel.
28 Days Later was released in 2002, so if the third film does see the light of day in the future, it would be almost 28 years since the original film hit theaters. A new Danny Boyle zombie film would definitely top our most anticipated films for that year.
