I love the Ghostbusters franchise, and Ghostbusters 1 and 2 are some of my favorite films of all time. I was already super excited about the new Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire from the teaser trailer a few months back, but now the official trailer makes the film look like a true sequel to Ghostbusters 2.
In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
The original Ghostbusters was released forty years ago (in 1984), so it’s only fitting that we get this sequel in 2024. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will be released in theaters on March 22.
